Food was amazing! And prices are not bad either! My mom picky 6 yr old said it's hos favorite. He ate so much I had to order him his own meal!

Best udon restaurant ever , Great service, Great food, and very clean and nice. The price is great, around $11-$12 for a meal. The people there are so kind, very welcoming. 😊

This cute little restaurant is nestled into the corner of a stop mall. Super quaint inside, with booths to sit and eat in. There staff are incredibly friendly, the prices are great, and the portions are perfect. You can order for take out of you'd prefer. Parking is tough, only because the lot is fairly busy. One of my favourite udon restaurants!

Decent quality food. I wish udon soup had more flavor.

Enjoyed the Udon soup. Each time we visited, we were pleased with the food and service each time. The seats are somewhat uncomfortable though.

We were sat down fairly quick. The service was a little slow in the beginning, which was understandable since there was only one waiter. Very authentic Japanese cuisine! The salmon box and the fried pork cutlet box were cooked to perfection and tasty. My boys received an ice cream on the house which made our visit even more pleasant. My kids approved Kotohira, we'll be back soon, especially for the udon soup.

I have been here about 20 times, and only waited one time about 3min, the service is of the out most respectfully and friendly. The quality of the food as always been consistent. Love their complementary potato salad in the begging and their complementary ice cream at the end.

This place is clearly one of the coolest place to eat in the area. Always when I go there I am truly pleased. They preserve their very high standard service and the topmost level of dishes they give. You can never go wrong with this place. Very recommended.

I didn't enjoy my meal today. The fried oysters are small (okay, it's not expensive) and not tasty (not okay). The beef was made from ground beef, not what I was expecting. I am not a big noodle fan and so I probably shouldn't have ordered Udon. I am also not a rice fan.... The service was okay because I went in at 3pm. Free icecream was nice. It is to remind people that if you are like me, this is not the place for you.

Great Japanese comfort food shop here in Gardena, specializing in udon. They also serve Okinawa soba noodles, that are thicker in texture. They have a nice chew to them and come in a nice hearty broth and braised slices of pork belly. Also had sliced bell peppers topped, which I’ve never really had before in a Japanese noodle bowl, but it worked. Comes with two rice musubi’s too. Also got age mochi, tempura fried, which was nice. The atmosphere is very warm and homelike. Feels like you’re eating in a small shop in Japan.

Soooo good. Very authentic Japanese experience. Everything from the decor, tea, seat cushions, and obviously food felt like a Pacific vacation. Highly recommended

Decided to try this place out after a coworker recommendation and glad I did. The restaurant is small an cozy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They helped us with a couple of questions and even fulfilled a request for an order of spam musubi even though it's not on their appetizer menu. Speaking of the spam musubi, it was cooked just right. Crispy on the outside and resting on a bed of white rice. The pork dumplings were also very tasty and the small portions make it great for sharing. I ordered the curry udon soup and loved it. It was served with a generous portion of chives. The broth was very tasty. They even served us a complimentary scoop of cookies and cream ice cream. I will definitely be returning.

Thos os one of the most authentic Japanese eateries I have visited in LA. They will serve icecream on the house.
